some photos of a new stop motion character im working on for an animation about summer, swimming etc. might even consider turning it into a fake advertisement for something.

Over the summer Im going to be working on some things like this in practice for my course im starting at rmit next year. Im hoping to get plenty done, in order to have ideas ready and develop my style a bit more before being shoved into the formality of assignments.

Currently working on my first people puppets for an animation and these french posters are some of my inspiration. I love the bold colours and simple shapes used to make something simplistic and beautiful.

This is a frame from the stop motion animation im working on right now.
I've never done animation before so it's all a learning experience for me, a tiring one. I know it's not going to be perfect but im hoping that will be a part of it's charm.

new studio

Since I am lucky enough to have an out of use kitchen in my bedroom (through another door of course), I have moved my studio into the area and out of the warehouse where I used to work. So now all I have to do is take about 3 or 4 steps from my bedroom and into work mode.

It means I can take breaks and get straight back to work, so it has turned out well so far.

My studio, still painting the branch that the owl is sitting on though.

Also Im working on a new design later today in the studio, at the moment im finishing off a scarf to put in the display.

There's a new scarf available in the etsy store (all scarves are made to order so allow 3-5 days for it to be made). All of the scarves will soon be available with a tail like this one. If you're making a custom order just request a tail.

Also tomorrow there will be new jewellery in the store, some more pencil badges and a few animal heads.
